Bergamot extract

Short Description:

Bergamot (Latin name: Citrus medica L. var. sarcodactylis Swingle): When the fruit is mature, the carpels separate and form a long, thin and curved fruit petal, like a finger, so it is named bergamot. Evergreen shrubs or small trees, more than 10 meters high, with hard sharp thorns about 6 cm long at the base of stems and leaves, and new branches in triangular shape. Single leaf alternate, oblong, with transparent oil spots. The flowers are mostly produced in the axils of leaves, and the constant flowers are bunched, among which there are many male flowers, some of which are bisexual flowers, with five petals on the corolla, white and slightly purple halo. The first flowering from the vernal equinox to the Qingming Festival, there are often many male flowers, and the fruit is small. The other time is around the beginning of summer, which is mature from September to October, and the fruit is large for medicinal use. The skin is bright yellow, wrinkled and shiny, and the top is divided, often open like fingers, so the name is bergamot, white in flesh, and seedless.
